Barclays Launches Hindi Website

Barclays, a leading global financial services providers, has launched its global retail and commercial bank's India website in Hindi. With this launch, Barclays has become the first ever foreign bank in India to have a website in the Hindi language.
"Barclays is committed to offering services that make banking easy and accessible to all. India is a very important market for Barclays globally," said Samir Bhatia, managing director (India and Indian Ocean) of the global retail and commercial banking division of Barclays. He said, "We serve people across all customer segments and the launch of the Hindi website only strengthens our commitment in this direction."
The bank's customers would now be able to access all the information about the bank and its products and services. Customers can also download account opening forms in other regional languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Guajarati, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
Barclays is operational in India for more than 30 years. It has launched- commercial banking services in the country in November 2006 and followed it up with retail services in May last 2007 under the Global Retail and Commercial Banking (GRCB) division.
Barclays is a major global financial service provider engaged in retail and commercial banking, credit cards, investment banking, wealth management and investment management services, with an extensive international presence in Europe, the USA, Africa and other parts of Asia.
