District Police nabbs inter state kidnappers gang

Amritsar City police claimed to have busted an Inter State Gang of kidnappers with the arrest of four alleged accused who were indulging in kidnapping for ransom.
Police said alleged arrested accused were identified as Salim (38) resident of village Rawalpur PS Chilkana District Saharanpur U.P, Imran (24)resident of village Jetpur Bakarpur PS Behaat District Saharanpur U.P, Khurshid (30) resident of village Mirzapur PS Mirzapur District Saharanpur UP and Riyasat (25) resident of village Imrahini PS Sarfawa District Saharanpur UP .
The incident of kidnapping was kept under wraps and disclosed to media here on Thursday as incident occurred on November 11 nearly a week ago.
Police said that the alleged accused were responsible for the kidnapping for two city based taxi driver Lakhbir Singh and Sarabjit and demanding ransom Rs. 10 lakh for their release.
Police said that in coordination with the local Police of Saharanpur Uttar Pardesh alleged accused Lakhbir Singh and Sarabjit Singh were nabbed with two China made Plastic Pistols, Mobile Phones besides a Indica Car.
A criminal case A case under section 364-A/365/120-B IPC for kidnapping and demanding ransom was registered against the alleged accused.
